Mr. Ghosal regularly represents contracting, engineering, and technology companies in corporate formation, contract matters, and business disputes. He serves as General Corporate Counsel to many local small businesses, including small- to medium-sized accounting, architecture, engineering, and information technology firms. Mr. Ghosal also offers experienced counsel to small businesses under various set-aside programs.

His work includes advising, counseling, and representing clients in all phases of litigation.

In addition to his business law work, Mr. Ghosal also regularly provides advice and counsel and representation in family law and divorce cases. Mr. Ghosal was formerly a partner at Kayal & Ghosal, located in Silver Spring, and an associate at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP.

Ari has been appointed by the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission to serve on the Peer Review Committee of the Maryland Bar. The Peer Review Committee makes recommendations to the Commission for attorney discipline and remedial action.  Ari's appointment to the Peer Review Committee is a reflection of the respect he enjoys from other members of the Bar.

Education:

Ari Ghosal received his B.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology from the University of Maryland in 1995. He received a Master's degree, with Honors, in 1998 from American University. Mr. Ghosal received his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2003. While at Catholic University, he served as Staff Editor on the Catholic University Law Review.

Mr. Ghosal is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Professional Activities:

Ari is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association. He is also a member of the South Asian Bar Association and the Associated Builders & Contractors.
